HOT CHINESE BLACK TEA
HOT CHINESE BLACK TEA
One unique Chinese green tea recipe is the "Litchi Congou" or "Lychee Black Tea." This recipe combines the fragrance of lychee fruit with the delicate flavor of green tea, creating a refreshing and aromatic drink.
To make this recipe, you will need:
3-4 teaspoons of green tea leaves
2-3 fresh lychees or canned lychees
1 tablespoon of honey
500ml of water
Instructions:
Rinse the green tea leaves with warm water and set them aside.
Peel and pit the fresh lychees, or drain and rinse the canned lychees.
Crush the lychees in a bowl until they become a pulp.
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil, then turn off the heat and let it cool for a minute.
Add the green tea leaves to the saucepan and let them steep for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the tea leaves and add the lychee pulp to the saucepan.
Turn the heat back on and bring the tea to a boil again.
Lower the heat and let the tea simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the honey to the tea and stir until it dissolves.
Remove the tea from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
Strain the tea into a cup, using a fine mesh strainer.
Serve the tea hot or cold, with or without ice.
The resulting tea will have a light green color, a sweet and fruity aroma, and a delicate, slightly sweet taste. It is a perfect drink for hot summer days or for a refreshing afternoon break. Enjoy
